The Third International Conference of Fashion Incubators will be held at the Parmelia Hilton on 11-13 September, 2011, and many around the world have confirmed their interest in attending and presenting. Conference Convenor, Carol Hanlon said “The countdown is on now and we’re all very excited to have such a great range of international and Australian based speakers attending the event. I encourage all related to the textile, clothing, leather or footwear industry to come along to the conference or some of the other events that make up the Third International Conference of Fashion Incubators.”

The Third International Conference of Fashion Incubators will be held at the Parmelia Hilton in Perth from the 11th until the 13th of September 2011. Margaret Rushe from global consultancy Rushe Farrell will be addressing the conference on ‘What Global Boutique and Department Stores are really looking for from designers’. Rushe Farrell export Australian and New Zealand designers to European buyers and imports European Designers to the Australian markets. Margaret’s extensive knowledge of the fashion industry in buying and selling has been finely tuned over the last 25 years. She now lives between Ireland and Australia and is a consultant advisor to many international buying houses and department stores.

Anita McAdam from Trend Consultancy Promostyl and Director of Studio Faro will be addressing the conference on ‘Autumn/Winter 2012/13 Trends’. Conference Convenor, Carol Hanlon said “Every season the creative staff at Promostyl take their stunning publications and inspirational audio-visual presentation to Premier Vision in Paris. It is this presentation and the very same books that will be on display at the International Conference of Fashion Incubators this September in Perth. Associate Professor Karen Webster, Program Director Fashion, RMIT University and Festival Director of L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (2005 -2010) will be addressing the conference on ‘Nurturing the future - How events and industry collide’. Karen’s presentation at the Third International Conference of Fashion Incubators will address the impact of major fashion events on the local industry and how they can be used as incubators for all involved from graduates, emerging designers and established brands.

Janelle Mannes from Trend Consultancy Stylesight Asia Pacific will be addressing the conference on ‘Megatrends Spring/Summer 2013’. Conference Convenor, Carol Hanlon said “Janelle Mannes from Stylesight will talk about what’s to come in terms of major fashion themes and colour trends for all markets for the spring/summer 2013 season. She will give an exclusive presentation highlighting the overarching theme for spring/summer 2013 and all the influencers that will inspire the complete design journey”.

Sylvia Giacci - Former Model, Fashion Designer, Stylist and Perth Fashion Week Director -  has confirmed Perth Fashion Week partnership.
Sylvia and her team will bring knowledge, experience, imagination and creativity into our event. She will be organising our various fashion parades, and assisting with marketing and PR of the Conference.
